Associate Planner Position
Backbone to the Team; Wedding day assistant
Hey!! I’m Jennifer, CEO of Event Shoppe Chicago
The Event Shoppe Chicago is a team of expert wedding planners who help quirky couples realize their non-traditional wedding dreams—through time-saving wedding-planning and styling offerings and top-shelf service. With a focus on storytelling through styling—and a knack for curating meaningful details that ring true to each couple we serve—we create extraordinary event experiences. Do you like extraordinary experiences? If the answer is “hell yes” then I think you should keep reading!
You're thinking to yourself “this might be a job I don’t mind going to on Monday mornings”, well for one we don’t typically work on Mondays, so there's that! Before you get to excited there are a few things you should know about our Brand
A Little About our Brand
Work hard, play hard is a core value of mine. Work should be fun and also efficient.
Our brand is growing... fast. We are constantly raising the cap on how many couples we can successfully manage. This will be a fun role, but you have to be down for the ride.
Our couples are worried about hosting a wedding that’s normal, trendy, or “just another wedding.” They don’t want to end up with a celebration that misrepresents them—or one that doesn’t stand out from the masses. They’re worried their wedding will be forgotten, full of unimportant details, and free from any significant meaning.
Still Catching what I'm throwing? Good, a few housekeeping things.
This is a Part Time contractor position in Chicago, IL, estimated to work 20-30 hours a month based on our wedding caseload and your schedule. You will have the option to apply to be a Lead Planner as the company grows.
You will work weekends and nights (because that’s most often when people get married) but feel free to never work a Monday again.
Pay will range from $200-$250 per wedding (based on how late the wedding goes). You will enjoy benefits like paid professional development, and learning more about the wedding industry. Experience working in customer service or hospitality is a plus and would be great for this position.
